MARIUS MOREL STORY, Morel France Eyewear

Prodesign ZENSE 7346-49

Clear vision for visionaries – tomorrow's eye-wear is created today.

Clever, advanced technology has not only helped to create an extremely functional piece of eyewear. It has also made it possible to create a perfectly streamlined design.

The simplicity of soft, organic lines and elegant contrasts are combined with richness in detail – technical as well as visual – that simply must be seen and felt.

Outstanding and discreet at the same time, this range is designed for those who want to show rather than show off.

Prodesign 4th DIMENSION 4114-17

The result of exploring and making use of inspiration from architecture and interior design is seen in ProDesign’s latest 4th DIMENSION models.

The bold, perforated patterns consist of etched holes and dots, rendering the metal a lightness you never would expect from a stainless steel frame. The models come in strong fashion colors with matching end tips, some with a contrasting color on the inside.

There are four shapes, masculine and feminine, and each comes in four colors.

Prodesign ESSENTIAL 1670-75

Happy colors are back!

Can eye-wear be optimistic? With the introduction of this collection, we dare say that it can at least signal a positive attitude.

Sophisticated color combinations and two different patterns – An organic feminine, and one with more masculine vertical stripes – add an air of happy energy to the classic, sporty shapes.

ProDesign 1207-12

ProDesign is launching its new ESSENTIAL series with great pride. The fronts in this series exhibit tremendous variation. You will find both the panto shape, two feminine butterfly shapes, two masculine rectangular and fairly classic shapes and the Aviator or McArthur shape. No doubt it will be difficult NOT to find a frame to your taste.
The coloration of the outside front is handmade and the end tips which have been sandblasted to obtain a soft satin look are in the same color. Colors are typically kept tone-in-tone.
Using the very newest technology means a significantly narrower time-span from idea to final production than is usual. This means that ProDesign can adapt to changes in fashion even quicker than before.
There are 6 shapes in 6 colors each and four are suitable for progressive lenses. Three come with a nylon bottom.

ProDesign 7337-41

This is an entirely new ProDesign series in titanium. This classic and luxurious design is built around the beautiful and functional flex hinge. Actually, the design is a follow-up on ProDesign’s recent series in acetate with the same hinge. The idea is to let the frame design reflect the clean design of the hinge.
There are 5 models, two masculine, two feminine and one unisex. All are suited for progressive lenses and all come in four colors. The masculine (Two of the) models are available in two sizes.

The Elegance Of Time

In 1880, Marius Morel created his very first collection of spectacles, in the heart of the Jura, the cradle of the French eyewear industry.
He could not have imagined that his know-how and innovative spirit would give rise to great classics, nor that his creations would become legends in the history of eyewear.
Faithful to this spirit, the “1880” collection invites you to acquaint yourselves with the elegance of the very first creations: authentic products subtly updated with regard to volumes and details and reinterpreted thanks to today’s technology.
Top-quality materials are used: hand-crafted titanium and acetate, as well as an attention to detail and finishes that present the consumer with excellent quality products.
Comfort: spoon-shaped endtips, saddle bridges coated with soft-touch epoxy lacquering, deep “universal nose” acetate nose pads, etc.
Quality: friction-controlled screws and hand polished galvanised shiny coatings with a buffer tool to provide a faultless finish on a titanium base.
Sophistication: metal inserts embedded in the acetate, endtips cut into the form of the brand logo, beaded grooves, ridged endtip interiors including a red-lacquered ridge, etc.
The “1880” models redefine the concept of modern retro chic.
With three titanium metal ranges, an acetate range and a combination range, the 1880 collection boasts 17 styles, of which 15 can be fitted with progressive lenses and 2 with half-moons.
In total, there are 61 different models.
The sober and elegant modern retro chic spirit is highlighted at the point of sale through a black and red dressing room concept.
In a film supplied with the concept, approved retailers can discover the full spirit of the 1880 collection, retracing the expertise and know-how of Marius Morel.

Linkskin 1st Eyewear Environmentally Friendly

The first frame in the world made with recycled and recyclable materials
A philosophy, a concept, a new approach to optics.

Linkskin team was born from a mix of different design influences such as France, Singapore, Japan, Australia...putting all mindsets and high tech innovations together, to reach a unique idea: ecofriendly eyewear.

- The Concept

Linkskin is a frame constructed without soldering, screws or hinges; it strives to create evironmentally friendly eyewear that is RoHS compliant with international environmental protection standards through the adoption of eco-friendly processes in the production cycle.
Linkskin uses recycled materials to reduce adverse environmental impacts and advocates corporate social responsibility and awareness.
Ongoing applications of ecolabel certifications for Blue Angel (Germany), Eco Mark (Japan) and Green Label (Singapore) marks its commitment to the "green" cause.

-The Technology

Linkskin encompasses the unique combination of recycled plastics and stainless steel components to create one of the world's first recycled eyewear with qualities of durability and versatility.
The frame front is made from recycled polycarbonate (PC) pellets extruded into sheet from of 0.8 mm in thickness; different eye shapes are cut out from the sheets for variety of designs. the temples are made from recycled PC pellets through the process of injection molding.
A patent pending mechanism, the 'Buckle-Lock" is applied to secure the temple to metal end. The tip of the ends, shaped like a "fork" is secured to the temple by sliding it through the groove. This application spells easy handling with no soldering or screws required for frame assembly.
The metal bar forming the supporting structure of the frame-front uses yet another patent-pending mechanisme, the "Button-Lock" concept to clip the recycled plastic frame front to the supporting metal structure. It is a simple yet unique and innovative use of small metal protrusions or "buttons" on the metal bar which are finally jam-locked, securely.
Weighing less than 10 grams (excluding lens), it is extremely lightweight, durable and has good tensile strength.

-The Materials

Frames front is cut from extruded recycled PC sheets; the temples are made from injection molded recycled PC pellets, finished with RoHS certified paintwork. The metal bar structure is made of stainless steel; and silicone for the nose pads.
For Packaging, Linskin casing, made of recycled PP plastic material is currently under construction.

A new award for LunettesLink, its new model LINKSKIN won the Red Dot Award, one of the most prestigious design award, 1 year only after the IFDesign award.

Eyedentify Yourself with You's Eyeworks & Youpi

Han Bulten, the founder of Eurovisie World Wide B.V., started working in the optical business over 25 years ago. He started off as a sales representative for various optical brands. After being on the road in the Netherlands for more than 15 years, he decided to start his own optical company and to introduce his own brand You'S Eyeworks. Very soon the brand proved to be very successful in the Netherlands and two sales reps were hired to work on the Dutch market.

Han's dream was however to conquer the world from his attic in a small village in the south of the Netherlands! Through his network of friends in the business he soon found his first customer abroad, RMG Fashion Frames in Belgium. By participating in the Silmo fair in Paris in 2002 things really started taking off. The international interest for the You'S Eyeworks brand and Eurovisie as a company was born… Agents in France, Spain and New Zealand started selling the collection and were soon very successful. News spread fast; Eurovisie has grown from there.
In the last 3 and a half years, Eurovisie presented the You'S Eyeworks collection during the MIDO and Silmo fairs. We also participated in fairs in Munich (Germany), Dubai, Montreal and Vision Expo East in New York with the result that we currently export our frames to over 60 countries worldwide. All countries in the European Union are represented and our agents in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and the United States are very successful. We have a good network in the Middle East and in one of the fastest growing markets : Asia. There is also a growing interest from African countries. The South American market now also enjoys the right approach from You’S, put in to it by a new and ambitious colleague. He travels to most countries in the region bringing the right spirit across to various new distributors for You’S in several Latin American markets.

With a small team of 11 people we work hard on serving our customers in the best possible way and to bring a new inspiring collection twice a year.

Why is the You'S Eyeworks collection so special? We are fully aware that You'S Eyeworks is something different. The large collection consists of trendy frames in funky colours and in high quality materials for every group of people. Women, men, youngsters, older people, kids, people with small faces and people with big faces, modern, traditional people...everybody should be able to find a frame they like within our collection. We pay a lot of attention to details such as size and functionality. Every tiny detail is considered thoroughly before the final design is decided on and as a result the frames are very wearable. Our frames are manufactured and coloured according to the highest standards, under strict quality supervision from our head office in Holland.
A final and a very important aspect of our success is the social price level of the You'S Eyeworks collection ; this is something which really separates You'S Eyeworks from other similar brands.
