THE Stratos line that won the “Grand Prix Eyewear of the Year 2009” in Tokyo, wears fancy dress for 2011-12 based on pulsing Jamaican ska.Stratos is all-acetate formed by stratifying different colours and thicknesses. Frames are fashioned out of strips of multicolour acetate combined with plain-coloured plastic, or single-colour patterns going with Havana brown and bright, bright colours, both shiny and matt.
The colour and texture combinations are exclusive VANNI style centre creations. The acetate block strips here take on an original pattern - pearly one-colour squares, a ska rhythm applied to eyewear. Colours never too bold, easy to wear, some striking shapes, and gloss or matt finishes.
