Masculine and techno-chic
Glasses are not free from technology trends, with ultra-light materials in combination with soft shapes allowing for modern yet functional designs. Whereas men's frames used to be mainly black, we are now seeing a move towards lighter colours.
Geometric lines, high-tech materials and sophisticated design - just the right thing for men.
As regards shapes, the retro trend goes back even further, with round shapes all the rage (models 846, 849, 850 & 855). But there are also large, almost square frames reminiscent of those huge television screens of long ago (model 853). Designs based on pilot glasses are another style very popular with the male audience (model 848).
The minimalistic shapes gain momentum through the use of vivid colours. Neutral masculine colours such as blue, black and chocolate are combined with orange, cobalt, yellow and sea green (models 834, 836, 837 & 847)
Another key trend for 2012: transparency! Whether shiny and matt, and preferably combined with those bright colours of the Eighties (models 853, 852).
