PDD Axiom 6136-40 Sneak Preview 2013

Axiom 6136-40
A high quality Danish design frame with wooden temples.

With this collection ProDesign have made some radical changes from the popular predecessor 6128-30 - most strikingly adding wooden temples!
This is classic Danish Design with focus on materials, simplicity and aesthetics - for the person who values high quality and minimalism.

This clever structure has great potential and with this collection the designer has chosen a metal sheet front combined with wooden temples. The frames have a strong titanium plating called PVD, and on top of that a rubber coating to give the frame a really comfortable feel and an exclusive matte touch. In the combination with real wood, it just makes this frame one of its kind.

The wooden temples have some limitations in regards to adjustment, but the designer have put a lot of effort into making perfect head curves for optimal fit. This is also the first metal project using our new signature nose pads.

While the frame is cut from a sheet of metal, the temples are cut from a sheet of wood. Each temple is sanded by hand until perfection. After sanding a coating is applied to add protection and heighten comfort. The wood types have been carefully selected to make sure that they are suitable for temples and at the same time have quite different looks.

The shapes are commercial, retro inspired frames with focus on classic details and virtues.

The collection comes in 5 shapes in 3 colors each and all shapes are suitable for progressive lenses.
