Axiom is a new line under the ProDesign name. It is a light collection where we have optimized the simplicity of existing technologies. The innovative functionality is right there for the world to see. ProDesign always adds that little extra twist, so you will notice that the temples are much more voluminous than similar hingeless products on the market.
“Axiom” means a self-evident truth, and that is exactly what this collection is! It’s a no-nonsense collection with integrated technical solutions that you can see! You can look at the Axiom frames and instantly realize how they work

A streamlined, simple collection with a twist.
This simple, yet innovative collection from ProDesign has no hinge, but where the hinge would be, you’ll see an “s”. This “hinge” inspiration comes from the jewelry industry and by placing the “s” on the particular part of the temple it becomes thinner and the temple can bend where you expect it to.
The temple material has been developed very carefully to be strong and flexible at the same time. Flexible temples require coloration that will not peel. ProDesign has used a new technology called PVD, which makes it nearly impossible for the color of the temples to peel. It’s a delicate and time-consuming process but the results are fully worth it.
The classic colors and shapes of this series underline the simple aesthetics that sets Axiom apart from the other ProDesign collection.

Sometimes the look of a frame can be inspired by the material itself, as is the case with this amazing new Axiom collection from ProDesign. The fronts are made of the strong NXT material, which is in fact a sunglass lens material. The NXT is both strong and flexible enough to allow the lens to click into place.
The coloration if these frames make them very special. The fact that the NXT is actually a lens material allows the light to pass through the fronts to obtain the fashionable transparent colors.
From the deep velvety purple to the high class crystal with the gold flash mirror effect, combined with beautiful metallic temples really makes this collection stand out.

Vibrant colors and innovative solutions!
Simple aesthetic temples and characteristic colorful fronts. The anodized coloration brings out a kind of metallic glow that really makes the fronts very powerful and noticeable. The aluminum material also makes the special lens closing mechanism able to be an integrated part of the slender temples.

Prodesign Denmark Essential 1240-41
This collection started with just a simple line drawn on a piece of paper. Then another. Then another yet again. The natural way the hand moves, and the energy of the lines tells a story of the intuitive and unconscious inspiration that comes to us at the most unexpected moments.
The color combinations of the acetate temples are exclusive for ProDesign. ProDesign are doing their own color combinations instead of working with pre-manufactured acetate sheets.
The classic monotone of the fronts makes them quite unisex to look at but the way we have made the powerful color combinations on the temples, takes the frames in more feminine direction
two shapes, six colors each, both feminine shapes

Axiom by PDD - Optimized Simplicity

A strong visual identity from just two components!
The more sporty side of the Axiom collection reveals this high tech, performance-driven look, achieved after years of optimizing this simple and functional hinge design – which is actually no hinge at all! The “hinge” is made by bending the front and the temple in a very exact way, to make them fit perfectly into each other.
To achieve this functionality, ProDesign has used a special stainless steel material, which is very flexible and at the same time strong, allowing the designers to make the material as thin as 0.5 mm to obtain an ultra light weight frame.
The colors scheme is very classic and subtle, but with the contrasting bright silicone end tips, the collection is still exciting and urban.
Six shapes, three female and three male. Four colors each, all shapes are suitable for progressive lenses.
